It’s almost time for summer in the heat that comes with it. Is also almost time for fun family summer games. Make the most of your lawn by playing water games to keep cool. If your lawn had a rough time surviving the winter, Luxury Landscape Supply has the sod you need to resolve the grass now for a lush and full lawn during the hot summer months. The only limit to fun summer games is your imagination. We have some wet and wonderful ideas for family fun that we are going to list below.
Handmade Water Slide
Take that tarp that has been collecting dust in the garage and clean it. Then, lay it out on a small incline in your front or back yard. Make sure the incline isn’t so steep that somebody might get hurt. Take the hose and turn it on full force. Rest it at the top of the tarp so water is rolling down the tarp. Take turns sliding down the tarp. Time the descent to see who can slide down the tarp the fastest.
Sprinkler Games
Turn on the sprinklers and get ready to play some sprinkler games. You can play tag in the sprinklers for a traditional outdoor game with a summer twist. Designate the person who is it and then run around inside the sprinklers to avoid getting tagged. Make the sprinklers the boundary for the game. Anyone who leaves the water becomes it.
You can also play red rover in the sprinklers. Divide the family into teams and stand on either side of the yard making sure that the sprinklers are running in between you. Call the person from the other side that you want to try and break through your clasped hands. The person must run through the sprinklers to get to your side.
Super Soaker Wars
For families who desire a more intense summer outing, low the super soakers with water and go to war. Set up forts in the front or back yards that are designated as safe spaces. Use the yard foliage as your war zone. For example, outsmart your opponents by climbing a tree and soaking them from the tree.
Water Balloon Fights
Finally, fill balloons with water and engage in an old-fashioned water balloon fight. Keep in mind, however, that you should never throw the water balloons at people’s faces. Rather, aim for the body and make sure everyone is old enough to play. Water balloons are not good for toddlers.
Again, you can re-sod your lawn by coming to Luxury Landscape Supply in Lawrenceville, GA, to pick up the perfect sod. A lush lawn makes the above games even more fun.
