Get Your Patio Ready for Spring and Summer Fun

Are you excited for spring? It seems as if we fly through the seasons, but many people cannot wait for spring. The sun shines, the temperatures rise, and the birds, bees, and critters are out in full force. Luxury Landscape Supply can help you get your outdoor relaxation space ready for spring with the supplies you need to replace any cracked or broken patio and walkway surfaces. We also have the supplies for custom-built fire pits and outdoor kitchens, so let’s get ready for spring!

Clean the Pavers

Start off by cleaning your patio and walkways. If you have stone pavers, bricks, or concrete that is in excellent shape, you can power-wash the surfaces gently to remove grime. If the patio and walkway surfaces are old and wearing down, it’s better to hand-wash them using a mixture of water and white vinegar or a solution of biodegradable dish soap and water.

Repair Any Cracked or Broken Ones

One dry, inspect your patio and walkways for damage. Look for cracks, breaks, or signs that tree roots are lifting the pavers, bricks, or concrete from underneath the surfaces. Keep in mind that broken patio and walkway surfaces are not only unsightly but also dangerous. You don’t want anyone tripping. Replace the areas of your patio and walkways that are broken.

Clean Your Barbecue

If you haven’t been using it in the winter, clean your barbecue and check the propane lines and tank. Disconnect the propane source and remove the grates. Soak them in soapy water to remove last summer’s cookout grime. Scrub the inside of the barbecue, including the inside of the lid and walls. Clean the outside of the barbecue, too, and sweep away dirt and grime from around it.

Clean the Fire Pit

If you have a fire pit, get it ready for spring, as well. Gently scrub away debris stuck to metal or concrete surfaces – it depends on the type of fire pit you have. Clean the interior and exterior walls of the fire pit by brushing away dirt and debris. Remove all ash and debris collected in the center of the pit. Scrub the fire pit with a 1/2 cup of dish soap dissolved in 2 gallons of distilled water. Rinse thoroughly.

Add to Your Outdoor Space

Finally, now is the perfect time to add to your outdoor entertaining space. If you don’t have a fire pit but have always wanted one, choose a safe space for the accessory and build it. Add to your outdoor kitchen with a traditional pizza oven, so you can enjoy the pies throughout the spring and summer. If you want a new patio, build it now so you can enjoy it when spring comes, and it’s just around the corner.
